) If you are in the icon mode, it does not show accurately where they are. With the little red balls mode, holding the right mouse button down and dragging should face them in that direction. I usually do it at the end of a movement order. It certainly works for vehicles (unless they are immobilized) and I have done it often.

2) If there are buildings nearby, some soldiers will be in the buildings, or at least their balls are over the building. I could be wrong, but my understanding is that at the end of a move command, they will try to find the best cover in the immediate vicinity . Giving them a defend order (and dragging the line where you want them to face) might help too.

One thing I have not figured out is how to know if a tank is immobilized or stuck, except by noticing that it does not respond to orders.

Thanks stian and Vasquez.

5)What does the Set Priority button do? Seems like it is meant to use to target, but I'm not sure how it works.

Good question. I rarely use it since it has obviously no instantly effect. Seems more a recommendation to your unit what to shoot first and not a strictly order.

According to the manual, it sets a priority for which units the selected unit should shoot at. I use it a lot, although I am not sure how big a difference it makes.Of course in this game the units often seem to have a mind of their own, and will sometimes disregard orders. It probably depends on a bunch of factors including morale and experience and the distance to a HQ.

Re. target priority - this one is not very well documented as usual The "secret" is to drag the mouse around the units you want to prioritize, not just click. You will see a selection box and the target will have a small X underneath its icon if it is in LOS. Note that if you don't have LOS it will still be prioritized, you will just not see the X until it is visible again.

Re. stuck/immobilized - when you select the unit it should show the damage in the status panel, the HW icon left of the "manpower" icon. It should say for instance "immob".

Re. changing facing - you can use the target arc to change facing, and then delete it after they face correctly. I do this for vehicles to not have them move just re-orient. For infantry i just use move and set the facing by dragging.

And according to the manual, if you set the arc to less than 15 degrees, it will change the facing but willl not set a firing arc so you don't have to cancel it.

Thanks for the info on immobilized, I will check it out.

What manual are you guys referring to. Sorry, but I cannot find any manual in my installation directory other than the tactics manual.

Thanks again. This game is worth the extra effort.
