One of the more better ones I can remember from my own cockpit experience: This was an instructor to a student in a TA-4 Skyhawk that was just switched from LA Center to LA Approach and got abused with 30 seconds of instructions from a rather rude approach controller: "Tell that B**** that we are tac air and you have dropped your F***ing pencil. We need ***damn vectors." Normally that wouldn't be all that special, but alas the instructor wasn't on ICS. After the normal cacaphony of stuck mike calls by all the UHF traffic on the freq. . . we got our vectors.
