How long do the Dec 16th AM bridges take

Command Ops: Battles From The Bulge takes the highly acclaimed Airborne Assault engine back to the West Front for the crucial engagements during the Ardennes Offensive. Test your command skills in the fiery crucible of Airborne Assault’s “pausable continuous time” uber-realistic game engine. It's up to you to develop the strategy, issue the orders, set the pace, and try to win the laurels of victory in the cold, shadowy Ardennes.
Command Ops: Highway to the Reich brings us to the setting of one of the most epic and controversial battles of World War II: Operation Market-Garden, covering every major engagement along Hell’s Highway, from the surprise capture of Joe’s Bridge by the Irish Guards a week before the offensive to the final battles on “The Island” south of Arnhem.

How long do the Dec 16th AM bridges take

Post by mariandavid »

Does anyone have a reliable estimate of how long the tank capable bridges being started when the Dec 16th scenarios start take to complete. Unless of course being an idiot I missed that is shows somewhere on the engineer unit. Would be nice to know in terms of timing moves - especially since the German commander would know!

If you get multiple engineers on a crossing, then something like 13:30 or thereabouts is possible.

With disruption or with confusion or delays in the bridge arriving on site that could easily slip to late D1 or early D2.

Later bridges will typically take longer as fatigue takes it toll. Engineer quality and numbers have a large part to play, so this is very rough as a guide.

Thanks: It was the one point of operational known information that the game 'sort of' leaves out the loop to the player.
