Status: offline 		First I want to give a big thank you to all those that have assisted me with my questions, you have really been a big help.
I have done a search for this but come up empty handed. I have a bunch of ground units and planes on the west coast I am trying to get transfered but when I try to load (transport, cargo, air transport, etc.) most are grayed out and have "unable to load on TF". Why won't these load and what do I do to get them to load?

Status: offline 		It sounds like you are trying to load things on the wrong kind of TF. Basically an "Amphibious" TF can carry land units in Combat Mode. This is useful for assaulting enemy-held landing sites or for landing at small/non-existent friendly ports. A "Transport" TF can carry land units in Strategic Mode, and air units. This is useful for moving things most efficiently between friendly ports. It would be very bad to use a Transport TF with Strategic Mode units to assault an enemy base!

Suggest you re-read the section of the manual on transporting units by sea because it will make more sense now that you've run into this.

Status: offline 		Don't think it the ship type as some planes and units will load but a lot have the unable to load message. I don't see transporting units in the index to explain this. Do you know what else it is under?

(b) pages 110 -128 of the manual

Deals exhaustively with the entire loading rules

(c) pages 178-179 of the manual

Deals with HQs. Units which are attached to restricted HQs cannot be loaded onto any ship.

Are they attached to restricted headquarters? Most units on the west coast are. You can't load units attached to restricted headquarters on ships.

Status: offline 		I didn't mean ship type (although that does matter for transporting air units), rather I meant TF type. I think the threads Alfred pointed to are better than my trying to reinvent the wheel.
