- Tank-Tiger
- Other AFV-USS Nautilus. If medals were given out for effort the skipper would have the Medal of Honor.

This is tough - there are so many great names, and its difficult to divorce the names from the performance/looks of the various ships, planes and fighting vehicles. But FWIW here are mine:

- favourite fighter = Spitfire
- bomber = Avenger
- aircraft carrier = Ark Royal
- battleship = Warspite
- cruiser = Penelope
- other ship type = Cossack
- Tank = Panther
- Other AFV = Kangaroo

I cheated and named two where I had trouble deciding which one to pick. I was close to name Wellington alongside with Lancaster

Fighter: Corsair (1st A/C that I was allowed to start up on the Tarmac)

Bomber: B25 (Flew as passenger on this bird a few times)

Carrier: USS Hornet (had many shipmates from her)

Battleship: USS Missouri (Japanese surrender sign on her deck)

Cruiser: USS Indianapolis (she carried A Bomb to Siapan)

Other type: Blimps (good anti-submarine weapon)

Tank: Tiger II (Hell, I just liked her trim)

AFV: Airfield Crash Truck (they were nice to be near, when we landed)

Status: offline 		Thanks to those who have bothered voting so far.

There are a few close battles for favourite name; Mosquito has a couple of votes in the bomber category, while Avenger takes the lead in the naval aircraft category. But I think, even at this early stage, the best name for a battleship is pretty much decided; in the lead with 40,673 votes is HMS Warspite

The Ki-46 "Dinah" series is also a beautiful aircraft.

nate, nate, nate. I am aware that recce types may have names. What I was referring to was you talking about the Mosquito's lines - made it sound like you were voting for her beauty, and not her name. This comment came on the back of a couple of posts from people that, judging by their answers, had clearly not read the question

(nate25 shuffles away, head down and suitably embarrassed by his faux pas "gee I wish I wish I could learn stuff and be smart and cool like that top English bloke").
