Hollywood,

Did you re-install it and allow it to install the DirectX and .Net files?

Thanks

I actually did a fresh install on a new hard drive, so I installed DirectX and .Net during the install.

ok, try starting the game, but instead of hitting play, open the confirguration menu and set the resolutions to your native desktop resolution.

If that doesnt help, see if there is a log file in the game log folder and (one file for each day). find the last one and post here.

Thanks

Thanks for quick replies. Clicking Configuration gives same error message as Play.

Only Placeholder.Txt is in the Log folder, so nothing to post.

You might try some of the other choices on that menu and see if any work. Maybe you need to uninstall and try installing again? I would also make sure you have the base game working before applying the patch.

If you have just installed Win 7, also make sure that the .NET features are enabled. I beleive I recall that on some installations, some Windows features are not automatically enabled.

Thanks
