This is such a safe topic.

Who will you vote for: This Guy or That Guy.

Let the world know.

Both of you are wrong, The Other Guy is the smartest and he's getting my vote.

Yogi, I have TIME for everything.

Can I get some clarification here please?

a) Am I eligible to vote
b) Where and how do I register my vote if so

I must say that intuitively I feel that This Guy is fundamentally sound, although I do have certain reservations. That Guy is just a joke; have you sen how far up he wears his pants?? No credibility I'm afraid.

You will only be eligible to vote if you purchase, read and absorb Ambrose's A DUMMIES GUIDE TO VOTING IN THE COUNTRY. You will then be able to vote.

Spanking time-This Guy refuses to deal squarely with the issue. But That Guy is talking sensibly and appealing to a broad range of Those People.

Not true - I read this book - what a rip-off: Chapter 1 Voting by the Seaside; Chapter 2 Voting in the mountains; Chapter 3 Voting in the plains; Chapter 4 Voting in the Jungle etc etc etc BUT, BUT - no chapter on Voting in the Country - nothing, nada, zip. That Ambrose is a chump man .

Oh Purrrrleaasseeeeee. How can you say that?? Those People are rubbish and frankly get what they deserve. These People - the ones that This Guy appeals to - have the wit and the intelligence; they are the ones that will sort out the problems we face.

I knew you would diss da man Ambrose. Since you got hooked on BPB you are increasingly difficult to reason with. But we will not give up on you.

You obviously did NOT read the afterword that Ambrose wrote in that landmark book, A DUMMIES GUIDE TO VOTING IN THE COUNTRY, where he clearly stated "and residents of Englandia, especially those in Uttoxeter, may only vote in That Country by tithing to the great Steiner." SO THERE.

Now you will get this thread locked by insulting Those People. Tread lightly, for Those People are NRA members and they have a much better since of humor than These People--smarter too.

That way, I retain my right to complain, regardless of who actually wins the election.

I think we are missing the point with this discussion. I'll quote from Paul Johnson in his critically acclaimed follow up to his first ground breaking book - Modern Times: How to Use a Teaspoon and Still be a Man in the NRA.

"The question is not whether one votes for This Guy, That Guy or the Other Guy. No the issue at stake is simply to vote. To vote with the understanding that Stephen Ambrose is a chump."

Quite right.

I'll probably wait until Halloween to decide.

I agree with much of what you say michael1776, but am dismayed on one point. The
choice is This Guy or That Guy. Forget the Other Guy. He's gone, he's history. Let it go - He had his chance, he blew it. You know it, I know it, he knows it. For the Other Guy the fat lady has sung, she's taken the applause, got changed, and left the building.

Now pull yourself together and vote for This Guy. You know it makes sense. Sensible policies for a happier world.

edit - er sorry I meant This Guy

No reason to vote for This Guy? He has not bought my vote. And This Guy have not yet threatened me with bad consequences if That Guy wins the election. But That Guy has not payed me either. So unless This Guy or That Guy pays up I will not spend my time to vote for either. Can't take them serious unless they pay cash for votes. All serious politicians pay to buy votes.
