Read the reviews and went to their forums but was wondering what you guys think. Seems like they made some major changes to the good. Also one of their more stable releases.

Love it. It does start to become repetitive as some others have mentioned. It definitely needs more events. However even out the box it is a damn fine game experience.

So not your typical Paradox game?

They still haven't learned to fill up properly on events? Look for a new, near-full price release with thousands of them soonish.

This is a fun game. Every once in a while a game comes out that brings it all together in a well-coordinated effort. This one seems to be one of those for Paradox.

I'm afraid I've learned the hard way never to buy any Paradox game on release. I'll wait for the inevitable price cut and a patch or five.

I have it, but it's not for me a "I can't put this game down" type of game. I played it pretty late Saturday night but since then I haven't played it much.

Have you ever heard someone say that they made a game so complicated it isn't fun? I wouldn't go that far, but to me it seems to have lost the fun of the first one. And I think it is because of all the extra stuff they put in. I don't want to have to struggle and wrestle with trying to get succession laws just right. I wanted to just be able to change them like in CK1.

Was looking at this and fiddlin' round with the demo a bit, but not sure it is exactly for me. It's almost like reading an official letter from The Redundant Office Of Redundancy.

Maybe I'll wait for the inevitable Scream (sic) sale.

But here is a rather funny thread about some of it's 'oddities'. Hmmmm.

LOL, perfectly stated.

That is all true. I had to get rid of some people(family)until they got rid of me at age 67. I married the wrong women. My blood line was going to stop. Won't do that again.

Really needs alot more events to keep an interest. I played two family lines and haven't bothered since. Mainly due to it having nothing new to offer.

The game does get repetitive but still doesn't play the same each round and is still pretty random so it's good enough for me.  Additional events would make it even better.
