Convoys show in the reports as repeating the seazone trip several times a turn. Is that by design, or a flaw in the reporting?

we are planning to review the mechanism of setting up the convoys.

Please look into it. I see convoys travel up to 11 (!) times the same route every week. Each time they are attacked again in the same sea zones and loose a few more STP - until the whole convoy is gone.

This way the whole UK and Colonies income goes almost exclusively into STP.

Convoy system really needs some work. "There an Back Again" taking cargo hits both ways. Routing thru the Med when it is certain death... Overall the naval rules are a bit thin and very unpredictable in one game the AI parked just a couple surface units in the channel and 30 + airstrikes hardly scratched them (land based and CV) You get HUGE hits on a large fleet (sometimes) but can't sink a single BB or CA you have spotted with a huge fleet (or even chase it away...)

Would be ok if it is just one time forward and backward. But at the moment the game does this multiple times on occasion. Up to eleven times in one instance for a single convoy. And they always pass the same subs who can't believe their luck I am sure.....

Could be a bug - and maybe just in beta. Let's see what doomtrader comes up with.

Player needs to be able to route the convoys and one way should be enough damage (at least resource cargo should not be lost on the 'return' leg. Its bad enough against AI but human players with subs will just savage the UK convoys (I have played several PBEM games and its rare for ANYTHING to get thru EVER to the UK by sea. I have played a few games vrs AI and as I go Easy Vrs Hard or very easy vrs Hard to get a challenge the Axis ALWAYS completely shuts down convoy routes. (I sank 2 GE CV and 10 GE BB once(and won the game) but never got more than just a few resources thru to the UK during an entire game. I had FOW on but estimate GE built over 50 surface units and had them deployed all over based on convoy sinking reports.

Powell, have you tried 1.01 yet?

That is completely different.

No I haven't. I am looking forward to the patch release. (I think I will wait for the release. I design and test enough software for work that I tend to avoid any beta testing on my time off... ).
I do like that Matrix / Wasteland is responsive to the customer and continues to work to improve the games.
