Redmarkus vs. Carnage - Eagle Day 'Der Zimmer'
The day has arrived. Zimmer frame equipped elite desktop pilots of the RAF and Luftwaffe will meet in the virtual skies above a newly modded map of Western Europe, fresh from the Eastern Front.
I am the Axis. My turn one is mostly recon all along the SE coast of the UK to raise the chances of successful raids on Turn 2. Hopefully I understood that concept right, but it seems like a common sense strategy anyway.
I also launched a single strike on the Dunkirk radar station at low level. I have a rolling series of high level night bombing raids against power and oil in SE England, followed after 20 minutes by two strong night raids against Biggin Hill and Kenley. I have no idea what the result will be, but I hope that the initial raids against Oil and Power will draw off the bulk of the night fighters.
Operational Plan:
- On Day 2 I plan to exploit my recon from Day 1 by hitting the radar network.
- My goal in the first 3-4 days is to take out all the radar sites between the Isle of Wight and Suffolk.
- I will then use the gap in cover to attack the Group 11 and 12 airfields during Week 2.
- This will be followed by deeper attacks against industry and terror bombing of London and other sites in Week 3.
We estimate that 30 days will be sufficient to achieve these objectives, but have contingency plans extending to 79 days in the event that our glorious air force (the most modern in the world) meets unforeseen difficulties, such as poor weather.

Thanks. I'll try to keep it up for as long as I still have an air force. I believe Carnage is pulling out all the stops on this one

Well, you're welcome but it's all over on Turn 2. I have wiped Carnage from the map!
(Just kidding - in my dreams. We are having some email issues with the turns. Hopefully get it resolved soon).

DAY 2 - finally.
Well, we finally got PBEM working although I have to play Turn 1 over. I added a number of strikes against RADAR and a few AF strikes, mostly at low level. An expensive day with most of the losses due to AA and balloon cables.
52 AC lost vs. 3 RAF destroyed.

However, I am pleased with the results in terms of target damage. RADAR cover is somewhat degraded, though not enough, and Tangmere was badly damaged, along with some secondary AF.

RE: Redmarkus vs. Carnage - Eagle Day 'Der Zimmer'
My planning for Turn 2 is in two phases plus morning recon:
Phase 1 - three major attacks vs. the RAF primary 11 Group fields SE of London. These will be at +20,000 feet and involve about 100 bmr and 70 ftr each. I hope that these will force the RAF to focus most of its fighters on a high level intercept.
Phase 2 - 15 minutes later a series of strikes (including 4 by my JU87s - for the first time) will target the remaining RADAR sites in this sector with an additional strike on Manston and a follow-up on Tangmere. Hopefully, the RAF fighters will be unable to intervene after their high level battle against the Phase 1 raids.

TURN 2 RESULTS
Much lower losses this turn, although I am still not bringing down any RAF AC.
According to the map, my major raids on 11 Group PRI AF were ineffectual, but I am flying more recon this turn to verify that.

RE: Redmarkus vs. Carnage - Eagle Day 'Der Zimmer'
I have created a small gap in the RADAR along the south coast, but more needs to be done to deal with the remaining sites north of the Thames Estuary.

TURN 3 PLAN:
1. Three big raids against POWER in the RADAR gap N of the Isle of Wight. I am not returning to the 11 Group AF until the RADAR sites have been dealt with.
2. A series of lower level attacks 15 minutes later against the remaining Chain Home RADAR sites in the SE.
4. Three night raids directed at Croydon - about 120 AC in total.

TURN 3
This turn shows a continuation in the improved performance of my forces. Hopefully, this is not a temporary blip and no executions will be necessary!
Our losses for this turn remained affordable, while those of the RAF rose.

RE: Redmarkus vs. Carnage - Eagle Day 'Der Zimmer'
Two important RADAR sites are still in operation, but much of the UK RADAR cover for the South and SE has now been put off line. I will need to fly repeated sorties to keep it thus.
My strikes against POWER were also reasonably effective, although follow-up strikes are needed.

My plan for T4 includes:
- Repeat visits to POWER and RADAR
- Two strikes on 11 Group PRI AF SW of London
- Follow-up strikes on the 80% damaged RADAR sites along the south coast.
- A 100+ bomber night raid on S London

Nice AAR. Good luck!
RE: Redmarkus vs. Carnage - Eagle Day 'Der Zimmer'
I love it to be possible to see the list of missions before the turn, and the subsequent actions report. BTW, I'm liking very much your AAR .

I will try, but time is limited! Maybe a few examples but not every turn...
