Hi

I have question

I have Ki-44 R&D program.
11x 30 size factories. I want asap start R&D IIc model and skip IIb.

My question is. If i accelerate IIc model to date earlier than IIb model availability(lest say IIb in 7/43 and IIc in 5/43) can i switch my production factories directly from IIa to IIc without reseting them to zero or i will need wait to date when IIb will be available and go IIa-IIb-IIc upgrade path

I am playing with realistic R&D

Haven't check that in game but I would assume you can only upgrade factories as defined in the scenario, i.e. IIa -> IIb -> IIc. The best way of getting big numbers of desired model asap, which is what it seems you want with such significant R&D effort, would be to simply let research factories transfer into production. You have plenty of them so no big deal here.

This is plan B, but i will have decent number of factories producing IIa and i was hoping to upgrade them to IIc that way few IIc R&D factories can be use to other plane acceleration and only few will start production.
It will be February 43 when IIc will be available so plenty of time to focus some facilitates on late war planes R&D.

i think you can just change to a IIb, and immediately after its accepted that you can change it to a IIc with no damage - its what i did with A6M2==>SenBaku==>A6M5b - from memory this approach was a suggested by n01487477 so i assume theres no problems with it

I cant do that because IIb will be still in R&D and only IIc will be available to production.
And with realistic R&D a cant change production factory to R&D factory.

This is only available when all planes in line are available to production.

I think sanderz mean research factories, not production ones.
