LOL, biggest laugh I've had all day--Frank's Guadalcanal indeed. PULEASE.

Hope you enjoy Ambrose's bible on Peanut Brittle. What is your favorite part of the book?

Yeah I was just kidding about the Guadalcanal thing.

Ambrose however really hits the spot. The book is unputdownable. I like the part where he proves - conclusively - that RMS Titanic did not hit an iceberg in April 1912, but in fact fell victim to a rogue slab of peanut brittle that was heading south for the summer.

I would like to nominate The Mighty SLAAKMAN, our resident media guru, for a Nobel Scientific Prize for artificially causing a man's eyes to remain wide open for over three minutes, without the need to blink.

Well that was rubbish - the content is unavailable in the UK. Therefore I can only guess what Slaakman was trying to show. What a tease.....

Sweden too? My guess, Slaakman being Slaakman, is that it was either a video showing two scantily clad hotties playing World In Flames, or perhaps two scantily clad young hotties rolling around in Peanut Brittle.

I had no idea that there was a movie named after Steiner. It is supposed to be a sequel to The Iron Cross. Anyone seen it? After reading about the movie it seems, unfortunately, like a really bad movie.

Sweden too? My guess, Slaakman being Slaakman, is that it was either a video showing two scantily clad hotties playing World In Flames, or perhaps two scantily clad young hotties rolling around in Peanut Brittle.

warspite1 you are a brilliant fellow. Slaakman's video showed several drop dead babes clad in Peanut Brittle bikini's playing World in Flames. Part of the video also showed the hotties taking rides in Panther tanks. I got no sleep after watching that dream video.

Orm I am sorry you also missed this great film.

Warspite1
I have two books on the go at the moment - Frank's Guadalcanal and Ambrose's
Peanut Brittle - The Definitive Account.

LOL, biggest laugh I've had all day--Frank's Guadalcanal indeed. PULEASE.

Hope you enjoy Ambrose's bible on Peanut Brittle. What is your favorite part of the book?

Speaking of which, how is Mrs Steiner? I politely enquired as to her good health last night and she rather rudely ignored me.

Mrs. Steiner does not much like you at the moment. She is under the impression that I am engaged in a dual of wits(ONE SIDED) and that YOU are giving me a headache. But she is as plump and lovely as ever.

Warspite1

Plump? Surely you mean shapely? or Comely? - I don't care what you say, you can't beat curvaceousness (which I can't spell) on a lady; just like Mrs Warspite in fact

Mrs. Steiner most likely does NOT look like what you all might imagine. She is not German. Mrs. Steiner is black, 5'10 and lovely. She does the straight arm salute when she wants to annoy me, as she understand my hatred of officers and politicians.

Doesn't that get a little embarrassing from time to time - like when you are walking around the shopping mall, visiting your parents or when you are in a synagogue?

Well, it's more uncomfortable. But since I am quiet white and Mrs. Steiner is definitely black, we get more attention for our colour differences than anything else. However, the salute does cause fainting at times.

I'm looking forward to the Liverpool vs Manchester United 4th Round FA Cup tie this afternoon. Should be a real humdinger; well unless of course its a repeat of the 1996 FA Cup Final between the two Northwest rivals, in which case I will probably fall asleep.......
