I cannot update the game via the main menu ("launcher") option "check for update". When I click it, it correctly does its job and finds the update, but it cannot install it, it says it has a problem.
This is not particularly important, since I was able to manually DL the patch from this site here, click on that, and successfully update to 1.706 without issue. Since then, I have not tried the launcher option again.
I am wondering if I made a mistake when installing. I should say that I am computer illiterate and am a pure application user, I have really no clue. I am running Windows 7 Home Premium. When I installed, I remember that it asked me if I wanted to install only for "this user" or for all users on the computer; I really don't know what the difference is, so I said "all users". I think that is a mistake? I ask because now, unlike any other game I play, I cannot directly click on the link to the game (e.g. there are 2 links installed by the installer, one is to the game, one is to the launcher) -- when I do, the game will not launch. I need to choose "play game" option from the launcher. But before I can launch the launcher, a little Windows popup pops up asking me if I really want to run that -- I think it is an administrator thingy. Of course I say yes. Then everything works fine. So I think there is some kind of mixup with my adminstrator rights and this game. It is nothing dramatic (I can still play), but I'd like to know if there is anything I should do (anything a computer idiot can understand).
