Anybody who acquired UNCOMMON VALOR when it first was released might find it very hard to believe the amount of vast improvements the game and it's engine have taken since it's release way back when.
UV was generally WITP(vanilla), except limited to just the Solomons theater.(At the time WITP was hinted at, many concerns came up that the game (UV) was too complex for expansion at all, yet, here we are, years later playing an expanded version of WITP and possibly taking all the newest changes for granted?

The contributors of WITP/AE, and the ideas of the many players willing to voice their opinions have vastly improved this magnificent contribution to wargamers, in general.

michaelm has shown a willingness to "shoulder" himself into the breech of the many new ideas and suggestions, continually tinkering with the game and pushing several envelopes at once, in different directions.

We, "The great unwashed", the players whose ideas are not always adopted, should still be grateful to belong to a group of folks who have been willing to hear us and consider anything we suggested with open-mindedness.This experience alone is unique in the industry, and most certainly one of the reasons Matrixgames has maintained vitality during lousy times, when most "luxury" computer software firms have been relegated to novelty status, if not oblivion.
