To all you designers out there...how about a scenerio about a USA led invasion of Iran. The scenerio will be based upon the current problem of Iran developing a nuclear capacity. I envision a USA led coalition made up of the USA,Great Britain,Isrealandseveral friendly Arab countries. This will be an intense air campaign followed by an airdrop of the USA 101 , 82 and the British 6th airborn divisions coupled by a land attack by marine, army , British and Arab mechanized forces. The Iranians will defend using a defense in depth. The allied challange is to quickly sieze the suspected sites of nuclear weapons. It will not be known for sure if Iran has managed to build asmall number of tactical nuclear weapons. There will be a theater option where Iran can choose to have available a small tactical nuclear capacity at a cost of a smaller conventional army. It's assumed Iran diverts assets into rapid development of a nuclear capacity rather than raise several more divisions for her conventional army. This option choice remains hidden...so the allied commander has to worry about concentrating his forces...trying to achieve a local force superiority by a build up at the point of attack may present a tempting taget for a tactical nuclear weapon. Remember the Iranians can field a decent conventional army...and unless the allied commander can achieve local superiority fast...the Iranians can bleed an opponent. Iran does not care about casualties...we do.
