It's the first blizzard turn, latest 1.5.45 update. The Soviet AI has only attacked at 6 points along the entire front.

In two places, the attack was made with tiny forces, while other Soviet units were available but not used.

Is this an AI bug or a clever plan?

These are the 6 points attacked. All were 'Held' results. The southernmost attack was by 1,500 Soviets vs. 13,000 Axis.

Second Blizzard turn and I can attack as the Axis and shatter an (admittedly) weak Soviet Bde. However, I wouldn't expect the Axis troops to be able to do anything other than huddle in their trenches at this juncture.

Yeah, jack up the AI to at least challenging. It's not very aggressive on normal.

Those Soviet CVs don't look amazing for blizzard, either.

Relative losses to-date don't appear to be hugely in the Axis' favour...

Soviet CVs are rubbish. I thought I read that under the latest version the AI on Normal was challenging enough?
