Quick question: Are the December 7 and December 8 campaign scenarios otherwise identical? That is, do they have the same AI, data, and any other improvements that have come along since they were created?

(I ask because I know that Dec 7 is the "main" scenario, and I wonder if it has gotten more developer attention than Dec 8.)

Thanks!

They are pretty much same.

Exe doesn't care about the scenario. AFAIK, the devs were quite scrupulous about getting the data updates propogated throughout all of the scenarios.

Only the results of the first move will differ, one being preordained.

Dec 8 has one major data error. China Rifle Squads are 200 vice 350. As someone playing both, 150 Chinese Rifle Squads per month makes a difference.

Where do we see this? (I don't have any experience with scenario data.)

Press <I> key. Then go to button at bottom right for industry/device pools.

I see it now. Hmmm. Are there any other known differences between the two scenarios? I really like the idea of starting from a historical Pearl Harbor, but not if the data is messed up.

Also, when I go into the editor, I don't see a build rate that looks anything like 200 (or 350, for that matter) for Chinese rifles. How would I change this myself?

It's Device #1301 "Chinese Rifle Squad" in the editor.

Ah, now I see. I was looking at the squads up around #371. Thanks!

Just to bump: Does anyone know any other problems with the Dec 8 scens?
