look, I do not know what people expect, but I just launched a suprise west attack against france.. and Poland blitz against litely held pressia?? Konigsburg and over ran an air unit.. lets just say that move was worth of a human oponent

well.. I would not expect it to rampage over my lite defended area for one.. and the defence of France is, well aggressive, i shudder thinnkingabout what the red menace will be like

This Red Menace (me playing USSR in Barbarossa with three hex FoW) is not taking any chances against the AI. Sure it makes mistakes from time to time (leaving Budapest ungarrisoned in previous game) but never count on it not surprising you. For fun turn on global view (set FoW to zero) and watch the battle between the two AI playing the other alliances. I was playing USSR and was interested in watching the AI play against itself in North Africa. I didn't spot any obvious mistakes in its playing style.

Good AI with occasional mistakes a human would never make. Especially mobile divisions seem to be an AI weakness.
