A friend and I are playing WPO as teammates on one side (US) against the computer. Its pretty adhoc, mailing the text file reports and the 002.sav file back and forth. But its palatable and suits our needs.

Our experience would be a 100 times greater if we could watch a replay of the turn. As is, one of us gets to see the turn run and one is blind. I'm pretty sure the replay is the 001.sav file in the PBEM set up, but it doesn't seem to update any other time. Is there a way to change that? If not, can that feature get added?

Thanks,
John

I didn't even realize that the combat save replay only works in PBEM until I ran an old Allied 1:1 turn and then couldn't get the combat save to load afterward.

I really don't know of any solution to your problem, other then to say if one of you plays the Japanese, you'll certainly have your combat save that way. PBEM is not hard, and if needed I'll be happy to help you if you decide to go that route, when and if you decide you want a little more of a challenge. Playing against the computer is a good way to learn the nuts and bolts of the game, but it has its limitations.

Actually, after thinking about it, I may have a solution -

When the turn is complete, hit "save" before you hit "end turn". Save the file to a different slot, for example if you're ending your turn on slot 2, save the turn to slot 3. E-mail slot 3 to your friend. When he opens slot 3, he can then hit "end turn", and then he will see the combat save.
