Quick Question on Map Scroll

Time of Fury spans the whole war in Europe and gives players the opportunity to control all types of units, ground, air and naval. Not only that, each player will be able to pick a single country or selection of countries and fight his way against either the AI or in multiplayer in hotseat or Play by E-Mail. This innovative multiplayer feature will give player the chance to fight bigger scenarios against many opponents, giving the game a strategic angle that has no equal in the market. The game uses Slitherine’s revolutionary PBEM++ server system.

Quick Question on Map Scroll

Post by oldspec4 »

When I move the mouse cursor to the various buttons on the right side of the screen, the entire map scrolls to the right.

Is there a way to prevent the map scrolling when selecting one of these buttons?

Thanks

BTW, so far I like what I see after very limited gameplay, e.g., GUI and graphical improvements from TOW.

I'm not able to check that resolution on my laptop, but the first thing you might do is to use shortcuts for those icons.

I find on 1440x900 that if I am careful not to move the cursor too close to the right edge, then it doesn't scroll. eg clicking on the left portion of those buttons.

Please download attached file.
rename the format from .txt to .zip
unzip it and paste to the Time of Fury/data/ subfolder, you should see the overwrite file question, so please store the original file in some safe place.

I tried that also but the map just continues to scroll. Suppose that I don't have the sensitive hands [:)]

I am having the same effect on Full screen 1600x900, as soon as the mouse pointer gets close to the mid-point of the right-hand buttons the map starts to scroll. It is not a big issue, but forces care in moving to the buttons. [:)]

Will this also be a problem in 1920x1200? I plan on buying the game tonight after work, and would like this same fix if so.

Thanks!

The last two attachments say scroll fix for 1600x900. Is one of them for 1920x1200?
