Simple mod that lets you also attach all artillery, rocket, and mortar SUs to your divisions for both Axis and Soviet in the 41-45 GC.

Made with 1.05.45 data changes.

***This will cause all the modded SUs to become and stay motorized throughout the game. This may cause problems with regards to vehicle shortages.***

In your standard 41-45 GC, most German artillery battalions start as motorized. After turn 1, they all suddenly become non-motorized..
WHY??!
Design decision....

In order to get them to attach to divisions, I had to change all Artillery, Rocket, and Mortar type SUs to the type 'Self-Propelled Artillery'.

These type SUs actually stay motorized throughout the game. This reminds me that I want to do a German-only version of this mod. I think the strain on the Soviet vehicle pool is probably way too much...

This mod only took me about 10 minutes to create, so if there are major data changes it will be no problem to create a new one...

Lots of data changes in new patch...will post new version tonight.

New version for 1.05.53 data changes.

AXIS ARTY version just Germany and her allies can attach arty.

BOTH ARTY version Axis and Soviet can attach arty.

both versions contained in .zip file.

Thanks for this - looks great. Two suggestions:

1. Maybe you should put the link to the latest version in your original Post at the top? Going forward, this will prevent confusion.

2. Are you able to include a change to the Soviet vehicle pool for people using the Soviet version of your mod, to prevent a huge hit on the Sov pool?

All I can think off the top of my head is to either increase production, or put a massive amount of vehicles in the pool. Neither option is very enticing and further twists history. This is the reason why I included an Axis only version. In the GC, nearly all Axis Artillery SUs start out Motorized. But after turn 1 is over, they become Non-Motorized and dump their excess vehicles in the pool..
I wonder if this is why I see most Panzer Divisions start the game with ~80% vehicle requirements? After turn 1 they soak up all the excesses from the SUs becoming Non-Motorized..

Not quite sure why the developers decided not to make Artillery attachable to divisions...I'm sure they have a reason though.
