The only massive space-arc to compare to Babylon 5 was the re-imagining of Battlestar Galactica. Great stuff, dude.

I must say Wow!! - Only one note: It appears as the portraits of the alien species in the game setup have not been ported to the description of the alien species. I guess that's because this part may not have been accessible to modding.

I would have thought it to be more... I mean an aircraft carrier is 5,000 people, and I presume a ship like that would be more...

I observe a significant slow down after uploading a savegame. Is this a known savegame issue or due the graphic packs of the mod and is there anything that could be done to limit the slow down? Thanks.

i thinks its due to the new patches (esp 1702).

It actually drops much lower during the 3rd season, below 10,000 at one point if I recall. Very dark stuff, and for the most part very well done. A must-watch for sci-fi fans, especially if you like the philosophical bent.

Mmmh, it's a 1702 save. So, maybe the save was spoiled or my install has some issues. I guess, if the save does not work properly after restart, then I gonna have to install everything from the scratch again. - Thanks for the hint.

If you want I can give you some files to overwrite your Galactipedia that would have the updated graphics, you can back up the old. I'm unable to put the Cylons in to the Galactipedia though. Let me know if you would like that.

That was a graphical update to take away the engine trails. I have to do the same for my ships.

There is only one picture that eluded me, that was a top down image of the Basestar the Guardian Cylons had in the Razor movie but I'd be surprised if you can find that. I did attempt to make one from the standard reimagined basestars but failed, maybe I'll have another go at one point.

I may have to watch this... I never did. I am not much of a SciFi fan, but this might be interesting... Is there a place to view it before I invest a lot of money in the series?

Not legally.
You could purchase just the mini series to see if you like what you see there. I think the show starts to get amazing with the first episode of series 1 and onwards though.

I'm not a fan of the sci fi genre either, don't watch Star Trek, Stargate, or pretty much any sci fi show. I love the idea of the future and many science fiction films but most TV shows miss the mark by trying to throw silly science at you every week and don't bother with any real story or character drama that you can empathise with.

Trust me it's the best Sci Fi show out there (for me ), I'm really glad I discovered it after ignoring one friend for about 4 years who kept on at me to watch it.

I think the new BSG is on netflix, so you could do a trial and check it out

I like the new BSG, but I really like Firefly even more
