So, how many years will you have if you get out in 2016? Enough to draw a retirement? I'm retiring next July, the soonest I can after this deployment. 26 years for me. The last 6 or so haven't been much fun. I'm ready to move on, and grow a beard.

You've been ready to move on for the last 6 years or so.

I sure have. Unfortunately, I was full time for most of it and when I tried to retire a year ago, they wouldn't let me. Here I am experiencing this wonderful part of the world. Gotta look on the bright side though. I have a lot of time for WitP.

Boy, I only wish I had had AE with me out on the ship for 3 deployments! I might have finished 6 campaign games by now. Instead, I've not yet had a game make it to 1943.

It's a little warmer here, Marc, but I've been driving to work in the dark since the school year started.

We do have a freeze warning for overnight tonight.

We have "Indian Summer" here... temperatures from 22 to almost 26 degrees Centigrade in past 7+ days...

Hey Panthers!

Last nights game had no effect on me in the leagues, but I see Feces chuckin' apes in the green and Kido Butai in the red. Are we looking at a possible upset here?

Dunno. My RB situation is awful, just awful. I'm scraping the bottom of the barrel there. I have 7 starters on bye this week too across the board, which really doesn't help. I give myself about a 35% chance of pulling off an upset.

Hey, NoDak-swing by Minot to close the barn doors on the silos before you head in to work, will ya?

Least you guys could do would be to warm up a bit before I got out there. I'm heading to RD NC for the NCVC next week, USS Mike. Dial me up some 70F days, will ya?

Oh, gimme a break Per. A Swede thinks the Falklands might be "uncomfortable"? After Stockholm in February ? Granted they are an absolutely flat, f*cked up, tree-less plain of islands, usefull for raising sheep and fall squash vegetables, but Dude ... there's nowhere to ski !! And they ain't got surf !!

[ed] well ok, there's some decent holding ground East of Port Stanley airport, out towards Cape Pembroke. But even Southern Ocean sailors won't drop in.
Ciao. JWE

I think you misread me - the weather and climate is no problem at all. It's the trip there with 40+ students/teachers that's a little forbidding

For some strange reason, whenever this kind of discussion on where we should go and what operation to examine on site crops up, general opinion usually points to Sicily/Salerno or Crete instead ...

May I suggest the Pripyat marshes then? I hear the wissents are lovely this time of year.

Theye having all sorts trouble out there the last few years. Hell I take better care of my deactivated MLCF than they do with the active ones. Put me in control and for some reason you won't hear a peep out of Iran and N. Korea.

Suppose to be nice today. Low 50's. But cancelled out by 25-35 mph wind. The geese are on the move. Early winter?
