Morning tithe...no longer febrile, so it's back to the salt mines.

T: Pink Floyd's The Wall tour. Alternatively, just for the 'big in Japan' culture clash, Cheap Trick at Budokan.

Okay, so there's this: if you could attend a concert by any artist or band, alive or dead, who would you like to see?

Personally, I'd have liked to be in the audience for Elvis' 1968 Comeback Special.

It's a close thing, but probably Queen at Wembley in '86. Or the Clash in New York in 1981.

Ooh, forgot about the Wembley gig in 1986. I asked the question because I was watching a documentary on Elvis last night, and considered just how much power he had in '68 as well as in the Hawai'i special from '73.

But Freddie Mercury at Wembley? All day, every day!

I guess I'd do a repeat of the past. When I met and chatted with Neil Young. Then watch him play off to side on stage with the Ozark Mountain Daredevils. Great time.

That was back in 1986 outside of Perham Minnesota at the Cactus Corral. An outdoor music site. He was the International Harvester's back then. I was helping the roadies set up the stage, then hung out with his fiddler for a good part of the day and the Ozark Mountain Daredevils. They offered me a chance to join them as another roadie. I thought about it but declined. I wonder sometimes. The next day was the Stadler Brother's (sic). I can't go back to being in the audience crowd. I'm just to spoiled now.

What is the HOF?

Hi Jeff,

Just finished reading a scathing article in the WSJ about the BAT exchanges. Didn't realize they were based out of Lenexa, KS. You know any of those guys?

Don't know a whole lot about them.

I know when they went public they had a comptuer glitch that caused stock to plumit hahaha.

Yes. They got off a grand total of ONE trade of their own stock. Then the exchange imploded. Oopsy-daisy!

Just doing the seasonal yard and garage work. Nice to have the garage fridge up and running again. Need to get it stocked with beer for the summer. Getting some more hours in of late and this is good. Also land rental checks are coming in, even better. I may take Friday off. A buddy and I are going to head over to the Minot area, about a 3 hour drive west. He is looking to buy another boat. Then we can stock the freezers up with walleye. Life is grand.

I've got that LP. in "Kamikaze Yellow"

I'd like to see Dire Straits. Again.

Took Mrs P to see Florence and the Machine a couple of weeks ago. I got a cuffing for saying I prefererred the support band, "The Horrors". She went out and bought me their album, bless her cotton socks.

Don't use The Thread for trolling.

Also, why are those Marines showing off their riot gear in a supposedly friendly port?
