Before this last patch any unit would hold fort decay.

This past turn I had ALLOT of forts decay 1 full level and I have a unit in hex.

Anyone esle see this?

Server game and I had not screen shots, but I get one this turn. Not sure why they all turned back 1 full lvl, some went from 2 to 0

Read the readme. You now need combat units to keep the fort from decaying.

Ok but why did level 2 fort disappear in less then a turn is the question not if I can read or not.

I did a turn all forts were up and before I patched. I finish turn send it in. Patch game turn comes back and all my forts are gone, level 1 and 2 WTH?

I am sure thats not how patch was suppose to work.

Are you in blizzard? My understanding is that fort levels 1 and 2 will decay very quickly in bad weather. You'd have to give me a specific example or better yet a save to know for sure if it is WAD.

I have another game thats in mud and in one turn the fort went from level one to no fort at all.

I think the fort decay rate went way up for some reason during the patch.

A hex is dropping 100% + from one level down to next.

Fort level 2 10% to fort level 1 10% or 100% in one turn. Is that the new decay rate 100% per turn?

The example I give the fort went from level 1 at 10% to no fort. In other words that hex dropped 210% in one turn. level 0 forts also have a %.

You can also see other hexes in the screen shot that have dropped full fort levels in a single turn.

This is going on in more then one of my games so its happening in not just one game. forts should not be decaying 100% per turn or in some cases more then 100%.

You dont have to take my word for it simply start a human vs AI game and do a few turns of winter, summer or mud to test it out.

level 0 forts do have a % of built as do all levels of forts, so in my one example the fort did lose 210% in a single turn.

That is not the average decay rate. I checked a bunch of hexes and the decay rate seems to be about 100% per turn. Level 2 12% to level 1 12% ect ect.

The level 1 forts go from level 1 10%-70% to no fort next turn.

Yes, I'm also seeing forts disappearing rapidly in bad weather, even though that's how things should be according to the new patch(es).

The patch notes are, however, confusing.

According to the 1.05.02 patch notes, new fort decay rates were put in place. According to the 1.05.05 patch notes, those decay rates were then doubled. In both cases, the new decay rates are also shown. However, the 1.05.11 patch notes again mention that the decay rate has been doubled, but without the new rates being displayed. That would suggest that decay rates have been quadrupled, which may or may not actually be as intended. It could also be that Gary or Pavel had forgotten that the rates had already been doubled once after the new decay rates were added.

Afaik, table in patch notes displays correct decay rates, i.e. after all modifiers.

The patch notes as given on the public forum don't match with our own.

The patch notes given on the public forum are:

h. Doubled the rate of fort decay.
i. Increased decay rate of low level forts, based on the weather.

Extra decay percentage:
Fort Weather
Level clear snow mud/blizzard
0 20 40 80
1 12 14 48
2 4 8 16

However, our patch notes don't mention the doubling of fort decay until 1.05.11, whilst the decay percentages shown here were already included in 1.05.05, hence why it's confusing, because it suggests that the decay rate was quadrupled from the initial extra decay rates, whilst this table suggests it was just doubled.

Well, there is one small type in the table - should be 24 during the show. Will double check the code to match the table.

clear snow mud/blizzard
0 20 40 80
1 12 24 48
2 4 8 16

Could you publish the decay rates for level 3 as well? Then we'd have all info (4 & 5 don't decay, right?).

Level 3 (4-3) loose 1-3 points (2-6%) depending on situation (weather, enemy location). Others lost extra on the top, according to the table.

Btw, found some inconsistency between table and the code. It was indeed bit higher in some cases.

The one fort I posted lost 110% in one turn.

It should have only degraded 24% and not 110%

All the forts in my games are degrading at least 100% per turn.

Whats wrong?

What appears to be happening is just what ComradeP stated

That would suggest that decay rates have been quadrupled,

Looks like data is backing that up.

Here is a good case fort starts out at level 1 10%

Next turn its level 0 68%

Decay by your chart should be 12%

So fort should have gone down to 98% and not 68%.

Again ComradeP hit the nail on the head the decay rate is 4x what it should be. During mud the decay rate is 100% and not 24% same for blizzard, snow and even clear.

Pelton, did that Soviet infantry unit that you left bypassed in the swamp on turn one move around? If it did, it might have converted those hexes that went from Level 1 - 10% down to zero.

It dropped 26% it should have dropped from 10% to 6% per Hapless chart.

Again 4x what they should be dropping.

clear snow mud/blizzard
0 20 40 80
1 12 24 48
2 4 8 16

In most games I could really not care much, but my game vs Kamil I am 100% screwed because of this over site.

But its beta sht happens http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jFCog54QnqA
