Running Mac with Bootcamp & Windows 7

Post by gsmart04 »

Really interested in many of the games on this website and am an old gamer for decades. Question is, before I start buying, has anyone had any success with any of these running on a Mac with Bootcamp and Windows 7?

I apologize if this has been asked before. This is my first post.

Hey Teri, thanks! That thread was even better than I hoped for. Great news indeed! I'll be buying a title to try it out soon.

You're welcome. I just got a MacBook and have been thinking of trying some of my games out on it too.

Get Parallels 7 and you can play any Matrix title. You can even play Empire Total War using Parallels 7 on The Mac :)

Thanks, Jean. I'm pretty set now that I'm going to try Bootcamp BUT if that doesn't work I agree that Parallels 7 is the way to go.

Based on what I've researched, I agree. If for some odd reason Bootcamp doesn't work for me then Parallels 7 would be an option.

It's best to use Parallels 7 if you have at least 4 GB of RAM as you have to allocate your RAM between your Parallels Windows setup & your normal Mac setup. If you have 2 GB RAM or less, my experience is that it's better to run on Bootcamp.

Hope this helps.

No bootcamp assists in setting it up as a dual boot.

Parallels and VMWare Fusion let it run in a virtual machine.
