Finished up the full scenario for the Wingen map. Spent some time tweeking the OOB and deciding upon how to value the objective victory points.Ended up making each objective of equal value for both sides to see how this might work out.

I ended up using Heer infantry HQ units for the division and regimental HQs of the 6th SS Gebirgsjager rather than having panzer type insignia showing on the counters.


Made my initial advances somewhat following the historical routes.


Positions on day 3 1025 hours.My attacks were bogged down and I had made very little progress toward the objectives.


On day 4 I decided to try and slip as many units as possible through gaps in the American lines and move to the west.




I am worried about American units being able to reinforce the Wingen area from the north


By 1833 hours on day four have made considerable progress in breaching the American lines.


Positions at the start of day 5


Anticipated movements on days 5 and six.


Will report back on the conclusion of the test of the scenario.

Day 5 consisted mainly of movements into Wingen-sur-Moder,and towards Ingwiller,and Petersbach.


Again,not much resistance on day 6.Had to use HQ units to occupy most of the objectives.


Not much resistance except near Wingen-sur-Moder.


Positions at 2300 hours on day six.

Here is my new 2D wargame I started coding.Have two sprites and a backdrop.Keyboard movement and mouse rotation for the gray unit. The brown AI just chases me around.No firing just yet.
