Anyone been to the PI?Planning on January trip,want to stay for 3 months.Any advice?

Philippine Islands?  Nothing much to see and do in Manila except shop. 
You can go to Boracay, Bohol, Palawan for beach stuff.
If you like history then you can do short trips to Corregidor and Bataan (both are near Manila).

Jomni pretty much hit it on the nailhead. Palawan is awesome for beaches. I have family there too. Some also in Manila. Bagiuo was nice, has cool weather. 
After 16 years, Civ II still has me in it's clutches LOL!!!
Now CIV IV has me in it's evil clutches!
