Well, since no one else saying anything, I'll jump in. I think the game is fantastic. I think the best thing about it is that its level of 'fiddley' is really up to the player. It can be super detailed, with adjusting leaders and max TO&E levels for each unit, reattaching SU units to spearheads, sending some 4 aircraft unit out on recon missions... etc. But it is also possible to just play it fairly 'Europa' style, let the computer do all the other stuff and push counters around. And the computer does a credible job. Compared to FITE, I think the biggest play difference is the TOAW model has simultanious combat resolution for each side, but WiTE lets you resolve each attack for each unit/stack as you wish, using mvt points. I sort of like it, it allows, in my opinion, a nice style of play showing breakthrough combat. The air model has some potential issues, although i think it is more some play styles, but is still better than TOAW. There are a couple of people on the board who are really in the moaner class, big time. i think the subject matter of the game attracts a broader range of gamers than something more like WitP, who are far more interested in historical gaming. in europa gaming we used to call them 'panzer pushers' (so you can aslo guess which perspective they tend to play from). so if you look at the boards and don't filter out the really insipid complaints, it is easy to think that there are serious problems with the game. there are some points where it needs some tweeks, and there are a couple of areas where non-historical play can lead to some problems, but the game is awesome!
