I would say this is the smart play. Why set yourself up for weekly doses of "Is it almost ready?!" and "Is it vaporware?" Just work on it in the background, and when it's ready, it's ready.

Yeah, why build anticipation and buzz - doesn't help sales in the least

Well if the've been beta testing for a good couple fo months now surely they have some screenshots or at least "SOMETHING" for us.

A call for testers is the only thing we've had so far.

And how long before anticipation and buzz turns in to whining and complaining and demands for a constant stream of updates OR ELSE? The game might still be a long way off. If that's the case, why would they start pumping it up now? to do so would be sheer stupidity.

It's in Beta...so it must be far enough along for a forum and some screenshots...Matrix usually always have a forum up in the coming soon section.

<shrug> A monthly update - a straight-up "look guys, here's where we are with this game and <list> still needs to be done" seems to be too much to ask for these days. So be it. It's not as if Matrix is competing for my entertainment dollars with other companies which do manage to get me excited about their upcoming stuff. That's sarcasm btw. Think I'm going to go over to the GMT website and pre-order another game I saw featured in last Friday's "monthly update" email I got from them.

GMT games...now there is a compnay...last November I received Battle for Normandy and three other boardgames for nothign as I can't work. The Normandy game alone is around £100.

I'm also going to be testing the Solo aspect of Bloody April which looks like a superb WW1 air war game.

It's still in testing - having graphics finalised and added.

I've asked to see what else I can post...there will be no AAR at least until the graphics are all in place.

Thanks mate...didn't realise it wasn't that far into development, thought all that would have been done before they asked for testers.
