Hello I would like to know what most people use to edit those pzdat or pzeqp files?
When I try using the windows notepad to edit a file like equipment.pzeqp or campaign.pzdat, I see the words and values but all that is not aligned correctly so it is a bit confusing to figure out what value is what even without using wordwrap.
Thank you

Use Excell and when you are done save it disregarding any warning messages. Just remember to make a backup copy of the old file just in case sth will go wrong ;)

Yes Grand Admiral is right. You rename them as .txt and then import them with Excel.
For other type of files use notepad++: http://notepad-plus-plus.org/

For some reason when I save using excel 2010 in campaign.pzdat even without changing any value from the default campaign, the game wont let me start a new campaign anymore, the game doesn't seem to recognize the file anymore.
I have tried both options telling it "yes" when prompted to keep the old format but this doesnt seem to work and I have tried as well to tell it "no" to keep all the feature then change its extension to xlsx which i renamed after that back to pzdat but this doesnt work as well.

Telling it to keep the old format for other files like equipment.pzeqp seems to be recognized correctly by the game though.

What am i doing wrong for the campaign.pzadt file please ?

Thank you.

Thank you for your advice, I have tried to use notepad ++ and after saving, the campaign file still works but like notepad from windows, all the values aren't aligned correctly in the campaign file. Is there anyway for it to work like in excel to display correctly aligned values?
Thank you.

What did you change and in which files? Perhaps you've just made a spelling mistake of some sort. I've made a couple of changes here and there and everything works fine.
