He, can recon planes and coastwatchers see what for ships there are in a tf or not in tf?
Must the experience be higher by example?

Within certain limits, and with a decent amount of FOW added, you sometimes get the name of the ship sighted.

Experience of search aircraft only helps with spotting TF's in the first place...

Not sure what, if any, effect aircraft altitude has on search results. (The issue is not addressed in the manual.) I keep my search aircraft at ca. 10k feet, as that is normal procedure for aircraft doing a visual search.

I have never seen coastwatchers in either WITP:AE or Uncommon Valor report on more than a couple of ships, just enough for the player to know something passed, but not enough to determine with any confidence how large a force.

The higher the detection level (DLs go from 0 (no info) to 10 (complete info)), the higher the chance of getting good info on spotted TFs (as long as the DL is above 0).

Where can i see the detection level maybe at the aircraft info? Or at a taskforce from me?

Detection Levels are internal to the game; they're not explicitly given.

Is the ship the Ruyter or the de Ruyter? (Michiel de Ruyter was a great Dutch admiral in the 17th century, according to my Encyclopedia Britannica.)

Just hover the mouse ofer one of your TFs or bases, it shows you a X/Y value (for example 8/10).
The first value is the DL, the second value is the MDL, which gives your opponent less accurate and detailed information than DL, but deteriorates slower.

You can see the DL/MDL of enemy bases too btw.

You need to use a photo editor (MS Paint won't work) to shrink a copy. Then, after you've saved the edited picture, you can copy the edited version to wherever you want it.

You can resize it with Paint or that paint shop pro 7. Paint shop pro has the advantage in considerably better .jpg compression.

You will need to save the image on your computer, edit it, save the edited file, and then upload it(google imageshack, I use it, if the picture gets loaded often it can stay there for years) and edit the image url address in your signature.

Hey, Mr. Erkki,

How 'bout if you do that trick (reducing the size) yourself with the images in your signature? That way, we won't have to scroll to see all of your posts.
