Production is the key to any game like this worth it's salt.  Let production dictate the game.  If the Germans significantly damage russian production, so be it and that it reflected in 42/43.  If they don't, then they suffer.  But any artifical combat affects should be removed.  Let the combat system dictate itself.

This game is really not a refflection at all of 1.05 or 1.06.

It was started under 1.04 and switched around turn 38. So forts and manpower production were higher then 1.05 and .06.

Just playing it out for fun.

Generall SU should go into 2 infantry army gruops. 1 in north 18th and another in south. I generally load up 2 PG with artillary.

167 overview

Pelton amassed his armoured forces in the south to oppose my mobile units so he was spread rather thin in other parts of the front. Thanks to that fact I was able penetrate beyond his defences near Lodz, even though forces at hand were limited.

Unfortunately most of mobile units were positioned too far to the south so this breach will be dealt as many before - withdrawal to another line of defence.

In the meantime I herded 5 German divisions.

Rail has crossed Carpathian Mountains. Soon Hungarians will feel wrath of 2 Fronts.

The main thing killing me now is all replasements go to pocketed units that come back so 0% go to frontline units.

This is really another major area that needs to be fixed by 2by3.

true, this is absurd. the Axis player should be able to consolidate his army better as the front narrows and his forces shrink.

excuse my inexperience, but what of the possibilities of merging these newly formed shells with units still in play? some element of control, no?

Didn't the last patch change allow the Germans to disband re-built units right away? They would suck replacements for a turn, but one turn only.

Another turn, same old story of withdrawal and pursuit.

Pelton's minions are still withdrawing, but it looks like last stand will take place soon.

Hungary is not part of Axis any more.

supposedly you can disband rebuilds now after they are first created, but it still cycles all of that stuff around in the system.  You cant merge them right away they have such bad morale and experience it is pretty much pointless as I learned in my game vs hooper.

Yes pointless.

The computer puts all the replasements into units you will disband the same turn. Then the disbanded replasements go into the next turns pocketed units and you disband them ect ect ect. I guess at some point they get to front line units heheheh

Not sure what the hole pt of that rule change was.

Games all about one thing morale.

After 3 weeks without internet I strike back with another boring report

I am a men of few words ... fortunately I have a lot of tanks. And I am not afraid to use them.

Big part of Lower Silesia have been dePeltonised, and Berlin is only 12 hexes away.
