When I purchase the game- must I immediately designate who is to receive the copy? OR do I have time to ask around my various gaming buddies if they want the second copy?

If I immediately must do so I will ask them before I make the purchase.

OTOH if someone needs a friend, they could send me their second copy... It would certainly be appreciated...

Status: offline 		no you don't have to right away, there is a button when you start your game and after you make your account that says redeem free copy or something similar. You'll have to set up your friends user and password and put their email in and then a link is sent to them to download. they just changed the way the friends copy works, you have too also give the original purchase key to your friend, so i guess it's 2 accounts per key now for multiplayer. hope this helps.

Status: offline 		After the log in screen, should be on the main menu screen. If i remember correctly. Says redeem free copy if i'm not mistaken, noticed the price jumped to $24 from $19. Debating if i should get another copy for the kids, been trying to get them into something strategic/tactical for sometime, instead of them damn twitch games.

Status: offline 		When I loaded the game the first time, there was a button that said something like “activate friend’s copy” or something. I clicked it, but then canceled since I didn’t know who I wanted to give it to. Now the button isn’t there.

What gives?

Never heard of that before,Even after i redeemed my second copy for my friend it didn't work. I emailed the guy at mode7, and he responded pretty quick, the new key he sent didn't work either but we got it resolved. Here's the address to the guy at mode7 .paul@mode7games.com

I emailed that person, who then sent me another key. Not sure if it works yet, but I'm sure the problem will be fixed.
