Have been playing witp for ages, but always refrained from getting to witp ae, untill recently that is...
as a witp player, I mostly played the jap side, but i'd like to start as the allies in this game (little affraid of all the new stuf?).
In witp, I was a carefull planner, mixed aggressive and passive styles of play, and was always following a "grand strategy".
I won most games. Normally I am good for 4/5 turns a week.
Haven't played the AI, so I am totally AE green...

Looking for someone to play the japanese side in scenario 1.
PDU / non historical 1st turn on.
Houserules can be discussed, but I like a decent 1st turn....

Who's up for the challenge?

Hi again,
this one is still open.
Only got some requests if I were ready to take on the japanese side, but I feel the learning curve is just to steep.

added the link of an AAR my brother made on a game we had going a while back.
this should give you some reference on myself, and also my style of play.

I would play you as follows!!

scn 2 me Japs, scn 1 looks an easy ride for the allies. I would also consider DA BABES
2 day turns ( 2 day takes away some of the micro tactics and the gasme moves on )
Only house rule all allied ships in port cannot move first turn - this means TF Z can be saved. Nothing too gamey or un realistic.
Latest beta patch ( hope it works with tracker)

About me - I have one game of the same running but the allied player is now very tied up so progress is slow, I have played witp twice as Japan - never got past 44 as allied player gave up. I would not say i am very experienced at AE and made a lot of silly mstakes in my first game now just in Apr 42.

I have abadly broken right arm and elbow but usually can manage 5 or more turns a week. Nice if you join the blitz ladder as I am a member of that.

Status: offline 		Hi jaco if you do want a Scenario 1 game then I will play you as Japan as long as it is one day turns and PDUs on.

I too am not very experienced at AE or as the Japanese. Just one game that lasted just in to Jan '42 PBEM with me as allies. I have played a few WITP games though (and UV before it) mostly as the allies (longest to late '43 PBEM). Looking to switch sides and try the Japanese now.

I am looking for relatively none gamey type game. I would rather win or lose by skill, luck and capitalising on mistakes and opportunities than some code exploit.

If you are interested PM me to discuss house rules and settings.
