Yeah, I know the CV is just an estimate, and final value depends on a bunch of things I cannot comprehend, and so forth.

But, here's my thing: I play the Soviets, and they tend to have a lot of units with CV=1. So an AA Bn has CV=1 just like an Inf Div. So I think that if I stack 3 units with CV=1, I'll get something like CV=3 in the hex, but ops no the 3 of them still have CV=1.

I think that CV=1.4 shows the same way as CV=0.3, even if they are almost 5 times stronger (yeah, I know, estimate and all). I would like to move my units with CV=0.3 to the back to refit, and keep my CV=1.4 in the front. But I cannot distinguish between them, as they show the same way.

In the Unit information line, where it says "Construction Value: 10", perhaps we could show "Const/Combat Value: 10/130", so we know this guy has CV=1.3 instead of CV=0.3?

Or, in the OOB panel, that would work too... where it says "8th Rifle Brigade (9270 - 73 - 0)" it could say "8th Rifle Brigade (9270 - 73 - 0 : CV=130)".

Only when viewing the defensive CV values, but those are inflated by terrain/fort level multipliers.

It's possible I suppose given low morale and experience, but given some time they will get stronger. Remember, anything from CV 0.1 to CV 1.9999 is going to show up as a 1 (not considering FOW), so there can be a big difference between two units with CV=1.

Precisely.

For me this came around actually about support units. Pretty much every support unit around is 1-0, so they look pretty much identical. When they actually get into combat we can have a better idea if your Sapper Bn is more useful than your Corps Art Rgt or your AT Bde, but then again I tend to forget the best units.

If they listed with a decimal somewhere, at least I could grab the best, send to the front, grab the worst and send to the back, and leave the middle guys in the middle.

It would be great to see the more detailed offensive/defensive CV (x10 of the counter one, the same as used in combat) for your own units, this would really help differentiate between them. The is still some free place in the small and big unit info box.

ideally 3 numbers: offensive cv / defensive cv / defensive cv modified by terrain and forts
