Hi is it currently possible to modify what possible government can each races adopt?

For exemple: Is there a way for Humans to be able to have a technocracy?
And maybe a way to remove monarchy to the Haakonen?

(if not this could be something to add to the modding wishlist, unless it is there already)

Hello Jrhindo;

It can be done for the race you are playing at the race selection screen during a new game
start. Also, you can modify the Government settings for each race in the 'races.txt' file.
Finally, also during the new game start up, if you don't use the 'random select races option',
you can set the individual races you wish to play against and their Government there as well.
Enjoy the game, and feel free to ask more questions if you need. That's what the forum is

Man, ehsumrell1 almost exhausted all options ....but even if you fail at all of them you can still change it ingame via the editor

If I may suggest, you may play with such an editor as **this to allow humans to have technocracy.

I do not believe that it is provided through the races.txt file to disallow a default-group government such as monarchy, however.

I currently have run a game with technocratic Ketarov, and every race can be pirates.

Yeah thanks for all of your replies.
But I basicaly wanted, to remove democratic regimes from the insects, remove monarchy and democracy from several races which would fit better a tribal-federation theme, like the ewok look alike race, and add more than just 1 special governement to a race, for instance it would be cool to have a human trade federation and a human technocracy, fighting a totalitarian human dictatorship that enslaved its people into a drone like state, the hivemind.

I guess it is not possible, for now.

Indeed, you can't do it beforehand but you can do it afterwards via the editor. I know i'm beating my own drum
