I assume that the more often you use an air unit to attack airfields, its availability for ground support missions later in the turn will be reduced. Is this correct? I couldn't find anything in the manual about this, but it seems like a safe assumption. Can anyone confirm this for me please?

Thanks for the reply.

Now the follow up question.

What is the better way to use bombers - in ground bombing missions or ground support?

I'm assuming they are roughly equal. If that is the case, should a player use ground support when he has land units attacking and ground bombing missions when he chooses not to attack with ground units?

I'm using my CAS in ground support, they seem more effective but I'm not sure.

After a week or so of piddling around and trying things out, I'd say that's what I've observed as well.

If this is the case, it would seem safe to say that ground bombing missions are a waste of time on turns that you are attacking (or defending from your opponent's attacks). If, on the other hand, you have a relatively quiet area of the line, then ground bombing missions would have a purpose.

Can anyone second (or refute) this assessment?
