Is command range for AG's and Fronts just too generous? I definatly think it should be cut I think the Fronts should not have as great a command range as Army groups. A 450 mile radius is a bit far fetched. Another thing not that important but would add flavour is in game, German Army group command capacity rises throughout the game when the reverse was true. I think it should actualy decrease when we start to get Army group Bathroom, Bedroom , Living room and Garden.

I would also definately look at command ranges of Armour HQ's relative to normal HQ's

Yes, we did cover it sometime back, but without a workable search function there are always going to be repeat questions. I forget the precise hex range but it's covered in the manual under supply.

Well with the range so generous there is no opportunity for deep thrusts to disrupt C+C. A historical example for instance would be BoB when Bradleys forces were put under Monty's command. Because of the generous range we get nonsense like the checker board defence

A Front IS an Army Group.

They have different command capacity and If I recall Russian command and communication of those commands was just not as flexible as the Germans, thats why I would argue for distinction.

As for the 450 mile command range for an Army group that is just plain nonsense

So is complaining about a checkerboard.

Better to find a way to deal with it. Especially as it is not a be all end sll strategy.

It is not about that perse it is more about commanding the defence of the Normandy landings from Rome, pretty unbelievable mechanics.
