Some Questions

1) Units directly attached to German Army HQ - command range is listed at 15 - is the supply range still 5? - past 5 they show up as red outlined in the game

2) Units directly attached to German Army HQ - do they get combat support? - will the Army HQ send them support units if they are not atteched to a Corps?

3) Airbases directly attached to Army HQ - are they out of supply range when further than 5 hexes from the Army HQ?

4) Is there ant value to attaching units (or better yet leaving the units that re already attached) to Army HQ - would these units be better transferred to Corps HQ?

5) Lastly - I thought I saw a thread about disbanding the airbases that are directly attached to Army HQ and redeploying their assets in Luftwaffe airbases - is this a common strategy?

6) I tried to disband the Slovakian Air HQ unit with idea of attaching the air units directly to the Slovakian Corp HQ - the game would not let me disband this HQ - I also tried to disband one of the SLovakian airgroups with the idea of combing all air assets into one group but agin the game would not allow me to disband the empty air group - are you allowed to disband these units?

7) What happens to air units when you disband them?

8) Units can receive supplies from city and urban hexes - does this also include towns?

Thanks in advance

Jack

1: Yep, supply range is the same whether Army Group or Corps. If beyond 5 hexes/20MPs, the unit will not draw supply through the HQ, but directly from the nearest rail head.

2: Yep, any level HQ that has pertinent support units appears to be able to commit them to directly attached combat units within 5 hexes. (But only those directly attached, not to divisions in a subordinate corps)

3: Same as a ground unit, they will still draw from a rail head if out of HQ range.

4: All up to you. One advantage is they can go to battle with members of any subordinate units without the "Out of corps" cooperation penalty.

5,6,7 no clue, I don't disband air units so never tried

8: Don't believe so.

No 6. There seems to be something buggy wiht this HQ actually. It won't let me re-attach it to another 5 star HQ. It usually comes up with an empty box for the change HQ selection.

That can also mean that the admin point cost is greater than the amount of AP you have.
Transferring units between army groups/fronts can be VERY expensive.

I am aware of this. But as Germany it's quite easy to have 500 stacked up at some point. Unless changing the HQ can cost more than 500 AP's, I don't think that's the problem.

I've also moved OKH right onto the Slovakian HQ, with no results.

Maybe it's somehow related to the split from AGS to AG's A & B. I've only tried to reassign the dang HQ after that has occurred as I recall. I will try it again with the new Beta 4 in my new game. And pay more attn to it before the split.

Edit: Oops DP
