I'm trying to decide if I should take the big plunge and purchase this game. My only question is regarding how complex and time consuming this game might be. Since I'm already playing several pbem witp-ae games I'm thinking that I will have no life if I'm playing both games. So is this game as daunting and complex as AE, Thanks.

The game can have as little or as much micromanagement as you like. Its not as labour intensive as WITPAE

most turns can be completed in 30 mins to an hour

One thing I will say is I wish I had never bought the boxed edition

The manual is not the full manual like the Ebook plus its black and white

I refer to the Ebook while in-game

Welcome to the party Shundt.  Very enjoyable game much like AE, your only pitfall may be trying to manage your gaming between the two. Racing east with your Panzers (and sometimes in other directions)  is off the charts a blast.

The boys have a real gem here.

No nearly as daunting or time consuming turn wise. Even PBEM, it goes quick.

Anyone who can play WITP PBEM, will find this a breeze once they learn the game.

Funny, because after the setup turns, I find that WiTP AE PBEM turns go faster than WiTE. WiTE has more hexes in which user activity is needed that WiTP...

Both great games though - the favorites on my hard drive...

+1. WITP has shorter turns and there are lots of turns in which you just check and make little adjustments. WITE has week long turns, every turn is critical, you have to carefully manage your units to avoid mistakes. Bottom line: I find WITE as time consuming as WITP.
