While reading Sardaukar's great Newbie Tutorial AAR for Newbies (vs. IJ AI I noticed his GUI used a more Sans Serif-y font than stock. Anyone know how this is done? If so, care to share?

Anyone? Anyone?

Use the -altFont in the properties line of your shortcut

This is how mine looks
"C:\Matrix Games\War in the Pacific Admiral's Edition\Beta\War in the Pacific Admiral Edition.exe" -altFont -cpu4 -multiaudio -dd_sw -px1440 -py0900 -w

The readme file has a complete list of all the switches available.

That's what I thought it was supposed to do.  But for me? It doesn't change a thing.

I just checked and I don't seem to have Lucdia-anything anywhere on my machine.  Hmm.  Back to the sandbox.

------------

Well damnit, it is installed. Anyone have a clue as to why it wouldn't work in WitP:AE? It works in the command line, word processor, &c.

The font used is "Lucida Sans Unicode" with font size of 15.

The command switch needs to be exactly
-altFont

Ah so... Case sensitive.  That does the trick! Are any of the other switches case sensitive?  And why aren't you over in the Patch 06 thread, where you belong?

Thanks Michael.

Most if not all switches are case sensitive. Just the way it always has been since original game concept of WITP.

Just trolling. Need a breather

It is bit more easier to eyes than default font, I think.

Yes it is but it is slighly larger especially width wise and can over lap other text making somethings unreadable. But I still prefer it.
