I have been playing a new 1941 GC Normal game as the Axis and in the middle of Turn 3 I have noticed I have significantly less vehicles in my motor pool than previous games, to include a Challenging game. If this trend continues I'll start worrying about a bigger vehicle shortage during the winter.

I thought I was a little smarter in conserving my movement to reduce damaged/destroyed vehicles. I have had no displacements or have used HQ buid up in any of the games. Usually, I have had around 210-214k but in this game I have 190k. I saw the change about Axis Allies production going into the German pool but that would mean more vehicles not less. The Event Log truck numbers and vehicle production and repair for each turn are very are close and and may explain 1,000 vehicles not 20,0000.

Anyone seeing the same thing in their new games? Did the new Beta change something on vehicle usage, allocation, or production to explain this 10% different after only 2 Logistics Phases or have I just had some bad luck/was too smart by half in my "improved" movement plan?

I upgraded in my last PBEM turn, and noticed a pretty big drop as well. Went down something like 12K in one turn, and was significantly higher than any of my other turns. Wasn't sure if this was from having some advance units away from rail lines though. I was planning to keep an eye on it for a few turns, but I too got pretty worried when I saw that number drop so much in one turn, and it did only happen after upgrading to Beta 2.

I saw something mentioned in passing about a bug with fuel dumps not moving out to units properly? Perhaps there is some connection to additional truck usage?

Maybe it has to do with attaching SUs with motorised divisions. If I remember well, SUs will now take up vehicles if they join up with motorised formations.

Support units take vehicles no matter where ever you put them

A seperate tank support unit takes 232 vehicles for the soviets.
