Hi,
my opponent told me that two US APs "appeared" in Calcutta (he's playing the Allies and does not speak English).
He cannot move them: if he form a new TF (even with a single ship) the game tells that the TF cannot move up river. Any help is really appreciated, those APs need to be withdrawn so we cannot ignore the bug.
Save and screens attached.

Updated save.

Can you give me more details as to how the 2 APs got to Calcutta?
It is not any good to have ships go to a port and disband when unable to get them out again.

Or a save from before the turn they first showed up?

Thank you very much michaelm!
Unfortunately my opponent does not know how those ships went to Calcutta and we do not have an old save.

Thanks again.
Bye

I'm hoping that somehow they got put into the reinforcement queue when a arrival base of Calcutta.
The new code will move them to the national base if the destination can't handle creating/using a TF there.

Do you know if this has been resolved yet?  I've got three large APs (USS West Point, Mount Vernon and Wakefield)  stuck there.  They start of the game they were part of a Singapore-bound convoy in Capetown.  I diverted the convoy to Calcutta, where they entered the harbor and unloaded the troops.  I probably had the auto-disband option enabled.

While I can put ships back into a TF, the only destination or home port I can select is Karachi with the fuel and distance values in red.  The TF does not leave harbor.

I realize now that the ships are too big for the river harbor and am careful not to send large ships to those types of harbors.  But that does still leave these valuable troopships stuck in Calcutta and eventually they'll either be destroyed or worse, hit their withdrawal date and then start causing PP hemorages.

Anything I can do?

Thanks,
T Rav

The latest beta will move any ships that can't 'get out of the port' to their national base.

We have found the undelying issue.
If the TF is off-map and gets a new destination, the destination is not being checked to see if it can support the larger ships.

Movement on-map is being checked and wont allow this.

Off-map movement will have the additional check added.
