I was thinking of playing a pbem game or direct, do you just look for games in the mp component?

Yes.

However, you will note that this part of the forum isn't too active yet.

Wait.

Everyone is practicing & learning. In due time there will be many people looking for opponents.

There are PBEM games out there, if you want them.  It's a lot more active than some player vs player forums I have seen.

Actually it is busy. There are over 50 games going on now and 3-5 seem to be starting every day. If you want a game and don't care who you are going to play, just post a challenge and it will probably get accepted within a few days (or watch for challenges that are posted). You can also post in the forum area for opponents and once you agree on something play on the server if you want to.
