I really want to get a bead on this sucker, and despite playing the tutorial a couple of times, most of it is pretty impenetrable. The biggest problem is that the manual is dry as dirt, and every time I start to read a chapter I doze off. Plus, there are so many areas the tutorial doesn't even touch on (how best to use air assets, for example).

It would be nice if some kind soul wrote a comprehensive tutorial, maybe based on the Road to Minsk scenario that clearly explained not only how to do things, but why (i.e. - the first air missions should be such and so because............).

I'm sure I'll get it eventually, but the manual doesn't make the learning curve any easier.

Check out the first move tutorial and the other tutorial that will be available in a couple of days in pdf format (the site where the images were shut him off becaue he overstepped the limit).

The AARs and forums also contain a lot of information and are mostly fun to read. There are specific threads on the Minsk scenario, so while you wait for the pdf, I recommend to read those and see what you can gather. From my experience (and that of some others) you might have to read the manual 3 or 4 times to get all it contains. Yesterday I spent most of the day trying to understand the costs of movement, how pockets work and a couple of other things; and I am still not sure exactly how many points the AI needs to get across my ZOCs to hit my HQs...
