Many thanks for the link -- I've always had a fondness for the Airacobra and her unusual engine-in-rear design.

Guess I can go visit it then since its a hop skip and jump from my house....
I used to drive my bus down Ross ave a few years ago...

If and when I go I might pop up some shots here

Wow, look at the state the plane is in... excellent, even after all these years. And they even found a scribble inside the plane, written by the lady working on the plane, her handwriting.. as clear as the day she wrote it. Amazing.

I will.. I think they are still working on the restoration...I'm going to see if there is any way I can get one of my friends to get me in there..

Anyways I hope they restore it to its VVS combat markings and not the shipping markings

It was cool to see the 37mm firing. The aircraft did have it's virtues.
History began July 4th, 1776. Anything before that was a mistake.

Good for shooting up ground targets, but not that great for air to air 37mm shell will ruin you whole day!
