Hi!

(I have said this in another thread but i realize that it didnt belong there)

A suggestion about easy identification of unit numbers/names on the map. It has earlier been discussed among us testers.
When using the hotkey Y you change the information in the lowest part of the unit counter between 1. Nothing 2. graphic line 3. Numbers
Why not use the possibility 1. to show the identification number of the unit. It has space for 5 numbers/letters. Named units ( that havnt numbers could be difficult to
make short but I guess it would be possible.) Above on the counter is since earlier the sign for div ,corps etc.
If this is done you could choose to have the map show the unit identifications as on a real situation war map.
Many gamers would like the realistic touch. And easy put it away if not wanted
Although you have to look to the right regarding full identification of stacks as before.
Altogether I think this would be a great add-on possibility.

i think thats the only place on the counter where it has enough room.

another idea is to use differnet colors in the inner rectangle of an counter. so you could identify all units belonging to an corps-hq without clicking, too. in decisive campaign (i.e.)(another matrix title) you can change manually the colour of hqs and their subordinate units..
