OT: WIKILEAKS RELEASE 251 288 SECRET US EMBASSY CABLES

Post by RUDOLF »

The intention with this post is to inform the ones of you who take interest in military and diplomatic history.
Please be advised that this post is not aiming for any sort of debate, but simply is here to act as an announcement for the intrested ones.

TODAY 29th November 2010, Wikileaks started the release of 251 288 Top Secret, Classified or Confidential US Diplomatic cables sent to/from US Embassy and to the US State department from 2004-2010. This diplomatic cabals include everything from secret US trading information and strategies to information about US spys operating in different country. The Cables also include different analyses made by US diplomats of the host countrys political parties and statesmen, how they can be influenced and/or if they can be bought! Ect.

Currently Wikileaks is under a heavy DOSS hacker attack but last I herd is that the Swedish police is aiding us in preventing the attack by re-routing the hostile traffic.

The Files will be released in different formats, if you like you can download all the 251 288 via Bittorrent, OR you can enter a dedicated site and brows through them in searchable format. The files will be released in increments to allow the World's population to observe the data before the next few thousands of Cabelas is released and so on. Within the next 6 months all 251 288 will be available.

There is a lot of data to go through so if you are interested I recommend it, it is most certainly a good read.

PS1: In some countrys it is illegal to browse through secret and classified information without permission, we don't have that problem here but I'm just mentioning it as I assume many of you are accessing the Internet from the USA.

PS2: Newspapers and media in most of the host countrys you read about (the ones effected or targeted in the US secret cables) most often pay for tips, here it is made into somewhat of a sport to dig in the Wikileaks archives (ie. US Iraqi war Loggs +/- 400 000 loggs) or now this US secret Embassy cables and then to provide the document numbers or page numbers to the local national news agency - who then will compensate you for your efforts.

PS3: This is an announcement, not a political discussion so please be refrain from making it into one.

Rudolf, your post seems to be political in nature, regardless of your statement to the contrary.
