questions about game

Post by budd »

Hello,

first off I was wondering if the game will run fine on AMD athlon 2ghz, with 2 gigs of ram, 128 meg video card on winXP. I have been eyeing several titles in the holiday sale, but this title flat out looks like fun. Does this game have replayability or is it one and done.Do the size of the battles vary and do you get to pick your core force. Wish there was more AAR's I base alot of my opinion on a game by reading AAR's. Thx for any input.

It's fun, and Matrix/Slitherine will hook you in on expansions for life on this one.

It's scripted missions, but I enjoyed them. I never read the manual just start playing.

There is more activity on the Slitherine forum.

It should run fine.

Sometimes you pick your force.

I made a small battle with pick your force and random enemy force. Posted info at Slitherine.

It auto updates if it is not the latest version 1.4.1 You start the game, allow it to connect to the internet, if there is an update it will do the update.

You can download a number of user created campaigns completely ingame too - there is a button top left on the Campaign List screen.

Since this is the ? about game thread:

I have two

What does changing NOZOOMLIMIT (to 1 instead of 0) in the user.txt file, do ??

Is there a command to make your vehicles back up? (of course the tanks are the prime concern)

I've searched though a bunch of posts and can't find these answers ... so far. ... I'm not saying they are not here, I just can't find them.

A fun game it is.

There are more posts over at Slitherine forums.

No zoom limit allows you to use the scroll wheel to zoom out further to gain a larger view of the battlefield.

Merr is working on a mod to reverse tanks. See the track hit mod at Slitherine.

IIRC you can also zoom in and out with the UP/DOWN cursor keys.

Cheers
